When I received the email regarding Peppermint's newest release, "Postscripts" in the One Little Bird store, I was pretty excited to incorporate these gorgeous new designs with some old notes that my husband and I had exchanged our first year of marriage. I had saved these notes in a memory box for a few years just waiting to be able to find time to create a layout around them...
I also wanted to include some photos in the layout so I began searching our hard drive to see what I could find. I believe it was fate that led to a Word document file named "MandyandEthanDatingConversation." I was instantly intrigued.... I clicked into it to find my husband had saved an AOL Instant Message conversation he and I had had back in 2007 when we began dating!
Now the wonder of finding this little gem is 1) my husband and I only dated that year for a few weeks before I broke it off because I felt it was headed in a direction more serious than I was ready for, so I'm surprised he'd kept it after that. 2) I discovered my husband is a memory keeper too!
I was elated and immediately formatted the document into A5 size and printed it out on multiple sheets to insert into my spread!
Peppermint's Postscripts set was so much fun to work with, there were so many adorable elements to incorporate and the soft colors were just lovely.
I mixed in a 4x4 page protector to house my mini envelopes I had sitting around. You can find the tutorial on how I created them here. I couldn't resist throwing in some gold confetti hearts I made using a whole punch.
Lastly, I printed a screenshot from my cell phone where my dear, sweet husband sends me a text message every single morning before he goes into work. I wanted to make certain I had these times in our life documented. He's always taken the time to keep in touch with me, no matter how far apart we are and I love that about him!
