Are you enjoying this first week of the #myselfiescrapbook challenge? I am! In fact, I'm blown away by the response I've gotten from so many of my dear friends and followers. I LOVE that you're taking the initiative to document yourself and share your amazing talents, creativity, and lives! You all such beautiful, strong, and amazing women - don't forget that!
I've always been a memory keeper at heart... I began writing and keeping a journal at a young age. I then turned to scrapbooking in my teenage years and began photographing professionally after that. Because I've cultivated those creative outlets over the years, I have become very passionate about taking time to record my thoughts, my habits, my personality, my style, my joys, my struggles, and my passions.
As a young woman, only married for a few years, I think its important to document this time in my life. These last ten years have really shaped me and helped mold me into the woman I desire to be. I've gone from being single to dating, entering into a marriage, a career change, started my own business, developed my creativity, and grown as a person. To me, those are important things worth documenting. And I'm here to encourage you to do the same for yourself, no matter what point in life you're in.
I decided to do this project digitally for now because it fits best with my schedule. I can snap photos, journal, and create layouts from my iPhone or on my computer if I so choose. Down the road, I may print these photos out and slip them into an album, but for now, I'm happy with the way its going. Join me on Jen's blog on the 15th of this month and I'll be sharing my tips, technique, and sources for the cards and embellishments I'm using.
Pop on over to the other contributor's blogs and see what they've been up to this week and how their projects are coming along! I'm certain you'll find tons of great ideas and inspiration for your own projects!

The #myselfiescrapbook project is a month-long class created by Jennifer Lake and Julie Gagen. Full of prompts, free file downloads, and inspiration from contributors, the class is about self-love and documenting you as part of your family's story.
