As you know from my various other posts, I like to include memorabilia and little bits and pieces of life in my Project Life album. Well, this particular page has a story behind it.
My husband and I were out shopping one afternoon, on our way to meet my parents at a local restaurant for lunch. As we were driving down the road, the car started making an awful grinding-metal-dragging sound. It was ear piercing and horrifying. I began to panic and my husband, who was driving, immediately pulled into a little parking lot to see what was the matter. We both peered under the car to see where the sound was coming from. It only made that terrible sound when the car was in motion. We were certain a tie rod behind one of the wheels had broken and were about to call a tow truck when my dad called us. He, being a 30+ year mechanic, advised we take the tire off where we heard the noise coming from, thinking a rock had gotten stuck behind some thing-a-ma-jig. Sure enough, this TEENY, TINY pebble fell out on the ground. My husband by now was laughing, realizing this little piece of pebble had caused what was now about an hour's worth of commotion. That pebble rode home in the cup holder of my car that day and somehow found its way, along with this story, into my PL album!
