Da ta da da! Today is the day I've been waiting for to share some exciting news! I was asked by my sweet new friend Elizabeth of Nutty News to join her in a new Project Life® inspired challenge. This exciting new challenge begins today and is geared towards encouraging you to think outside the box with your Project Life spreads by having a challenge theme. If you would like to join in on the fun, please visit 3P's Challenge and you can find all the details along with a place to link up your project!
First theme up is "Frosty Feathers".
Come check it out and download the amazing FREEBIE Elizabeth is offering along with the challenge!
My entry was made using a piece of 3x4 frosted vellum, then I added real white and tan feathers using adhesive. I topped that off with an owl wood veneer shape, using glitter card stock to create wings and whole punched confetti, then I added the sequins and gold snowflake stickers to the neighboring pocket.
- Lara's Crafts Owl Wood shapes, glitter card stock and frosted vellum from my local Hobby Lobby stores
- Craft Medley Sequins from Scrapbook.com
- Gold Snowflake embellishments from my local Michael's stores
- "Don't be afraid to Sparkle" overlay from We R Memory Keepers Albums Made Easy Teresa Collins "Quoted" kit.
It is no secret that I love mint, teal, gold, and rich pastels. I feel like the scrapbooking world finally jumped on board with me when they introduced some of the lovely colors that are on popular trend right now. As soon as the We R Memory Keepers mint and greige 12x12 albums were released, I ordered some. Then photos started circulating the internet of the adorable 4x4 Instagram albums WRMK has also premiered and I was instantly in love. I mean really, miniature ponies, puppies, and albums... They're all adorable!
Just this past weekend, armed with a Hobby Lobby gift card from my sister in law, I set out to do some shopping for a project I was wanting to undertake. And what did my wondering eyes behold?
This precious and beautiful album.
As I mentioned a few days ago in my goals for 2015, I wanted to challenge myself to create a miniature album in addition to my normal Project Life album. I plan to fill the album with "a few of my favorite things" and share it all right here on my blog and Instagram! I am so excited to get started on this project and can't wait to share more soon!
Have you crafted a mini album before? If so, what tips do you have for me? Send me a comment and let me know!
