Stay This Way Forever by Lindsey Davis, Illustrated by Lucy Fleming

Read, laugh and dream your way into lifelong memories with your little one!

My Review: Oh my heart, this precious and sweet bedtime story offers vibrant, beautiful illustrations with diverse characters. The story of a mother’s love is evident and on display as she observes the joy, innocence and wonder in her children and the things they do each day. Her love is strong as she reminds them how she will always be there for them and how much she loves them. This book truly warmed my heart. It offers short, sweet prose in a lyrical style. The pages are glossy, large and full of color and eye catching illustrations that will make it easy for little ones to point things out. The message is tender and heartwarming. This story is appropriate for children ages 2+.

Near by Sally Lloyd-Jones and Jago

From Sally Lloyd-Jones and Jago comes this charming board book for little ones to cherish. Inspired by Psalm 139, children will be reminded that God is with them no matter where they go.

My Review: This beautiful, imaginative storybook is such a beautiful reminder of the Creator’s great love for us and how He is with us wherever we go. What an easy way to hide God’s Word and promises in a little one’s heart. With short sentences, simple yet alluring illustrations and a thick padded cover, this is a definite must have for a toddler’s library! My preschool aged daughter loves this book, as it is easy to read and great for her short attention span. This would make a beautiful baby shower gift or birthday/holiday gift. Appropriate for ages 0-5.

Candace’s Playful Puppy by Candace Cameron Bure, Illustrated by Christine Battuz

Today is the day! Candace is going to pick out the perfect pet!

My Review: This in-depth story walks children alongside Candace in her excitement to get a new puppy, work hard to care for that new puppy and remain faithful in her diligent efforts to train her puppy. Candace discovers disappointment along the way, but through her mother’s prompting, learns that hard work really pays off. I enjoyed the lessons taught in this story of responsibility, disappointment and perseverance demonstrated in a way that’s easy for children to understand . It was sweet, adorable and fun. One of our favorite parts was the hilarious, grumpy little hamster Harry who makes appearances on various pages.
