ABOUT THIS BOOK:

Charming and whimsical handmade doll photographs illustrate the stories of over 40 men and women of the Bible in this one-of-a kind Bible storybook.

Bring some cozy charm to your child’s room and a touch of whimsy to story time, with this beautiful keepsake book of characters from the Bible. This accessible collection includes both familiar and lesser-known figures like Noah, Joseph, Esther, John the Baptist, Miriam, and many more. Each story is told in a short, easy-to-understand passage and accompanied by a photograph of a handcrafted doll, specially made to capture both the character and themes of the story.

My Thoughts:

This sweet book is a lovely morning basket or bedtime story book. Each two page spread features a beautiful full page photograph of a darling, handmade doll depicting a different person from the Bible with the opposite page offering a short, easy-to-understand story that parallels Scripture about that person and their significance in the Bible and in history.

The book offers stories from both the Old and New Testament featuring the stories of well known people such as Noah, Moses, David and Jonah, as well as the stories of Jesus, Mary, Peter and Paul. I loved that the book also featured lesser-known characters such as Rahab, Ruth, Ezra and Mary Magdalene. Its a soft, and gentle, way to tuck stories of the Bible into little hearts and would appeal to a broad range of ages under 10. The stories are designed to inspire, encourage and delight.

The beautiful pages are large and glossy and the linen binding is probably my favorite touch. It’s a lovely book to display on a shelf and would be great for Sunday school, homeschool or cozy story time at home under a soft blanket.
