Just In Case You Ever Feel Alone

By Max Lucado (Author), Eve Tharlet (Illustrator)

Published by Tommy Nelson

ABOUT THIS BOOK:

Even children experience lonely moments. When they do, this book reminds them that you will always be there, and God is right there too. Max Lucado's comforting words reinforce the thought that no matter what happens--the good and bad, the firsts and lasts--children will never be alone . . . just in case they ever wonder.

To a child, a day can last forever, and hurt feelings sink in deep. Whether they're having trouble making friends, struggling to learn something new, or just having a sad day, children need daily reminders of how much they're cherished. Just in Case You Ever Feel Alone soothes away loneliness by promising children that their parents or caregivers will always make time for them--they will squeeze away the sad and welcome back the glad every single day.

A follow-up to the classic children's book Just in Case You Ever Wonder, which has sold more than 1.8 million copies, this jacketed picture book for boys and girls ages 3 to 7.

My Thoughts:

This is an adorable picture book filled with beautiful, heartfelt sentiments from a loved one to a little one. It is a large book, with durable glossy pages and darling illustrations that tell the story right along with the words. The soft colors and gentle text make this a fun book to read to young children, reminding them that we will always be there for them if they’re having a bad day, needing help, or feeling sad. It then points their little hearts back to God, reminding them how He has placed us together as a family and how He, too, will always be there for them to hear their prayers, chase away their loneliness, give them wisdom and love them unconditionally.

I think this would be a sweet gift for any young child, even toddlers. It would make an excellent baby shower gift, adoption day gift, special occasion gift or addition to any little boy or girl’s library. The cover is so cute and we look forward to displaying it on our shelves.
