Hello lovelies! I'm so excited to be here today sharing a beautiful, new collection from Peppermint over at One Little Bird. This collection is called Between Us and it's beyond adorable. The color palette is so perfect and it's incredibly versatile for documenting a wide range of stories, including pets, couples, family and friends. Pop over to the Lilypad today to check it out!
As I have scrapbooked over the years, I've developed a system for editing and printing my photos. In addition, I've learned that taking those photos and slipping them into the page protectors really helps when I want to throw a quick layout together. My entire 2012 collection of photos is all together, in a binder with photos in pockets. All that it is missing is journal cards and written memories.
I really love having the photos already in the binder, in chronological order, so I can flip through them. Usually as I flip through, some photos will inspire me as a layout I want to create or a certain story I want to tell.
Take this layout for instance. When Peppermint Granberg of One Little Bird Designs released her new Milestone collection, I knew I wanted to use that kit to document a specific, life changing event... While flipping through my album, our photos of us moving from our tiny, rented apartment into our newly purchased home immediately jumped out at me as a big milestone. As an added plus, the yellow in the Milestone collection perfectly complimented my moving truck photos.
I added some journaling in Photoshop Elements, printed my cards and elements then cut them out and slipped them into the pockets next to the photos. Wham, bam! This layout was completed in fifteen minutes and a very important milestone in our lives was forever documented.
I'm playing along with #PocketPageThursday, a blog series by Jessica Upton of Color Cast Designs and Kellie Winnell of Kellie Stamps and Give a Girl a Blog. To find out more information, visit Jessica's blog post here.
Recently, I shared how I am working on multiple Project Life albums at one time. Currently, I'm focusing on my annual 2015 album in addition to working backwards on a 2012 album.

Today, I wanted to share a 2012 layout that I finished recently using some beautiful designs by Peppermint Granberg at One Little Bird Designs. It has been such an absolute joy to be on her creative team working with such fresh, lovely sets.
When she released the "Frolic" set, I instantly thought of this page of photographs I had sitting neatly in my 2012 album, waiting for cards to be added to it. This layout took me all of seven minutes from start to finish. I simply printed out the One Little Bird journal cards, trimmed them down, slipped them into the pockets and added a few little embellishments.
I punched out some gold heart confetti using a heart shaped paper punch, and mixed it into a pocket with some teal paper hearts I punched and an element from a Heidi Swapp Project Life kit I had. I sealed my confetti pocket with my We R Memory Keepers Fuse tool and topped off the page with a couple of wood veneer embellishments and mini flair I had laying around. Bada Bing! Done!

Today I'm sharing one of my quick, easy layouts. This is a one page spread I created with photos from our 2012 album. As you know, I'm working on several years at a time and when I come across a set of designs or kit that just matches well with certain photos, I find it easy to create a simple spread. These spreads often tend to be my favorites!
For this layout, I used One Little Bird's Trailblazer journal card set. I only added a few small embellishments including some of my FAVORITE acrylic and wood veneers from Color Cast Designs, the Wanderlust set. I typed the location of the photos on vellum and stapled it to a journaling card, then added a cork geotag and wrapped it all together with a roller date stamp.

Today, I'm sharing a layout using some "flashback" photos from 2012. This new set of designs is called Happy Fourth by Big City Quiet Designs and its one of my new favorites! I know that while I probably say that with each set that comes out, I can only tell you that I speak the truth! I just swoon over pretty paper designs so I can't help it if I fall in love with a new set every few days!
As you can see, this was a quick layout, no frills or complicated elements and that's what I just love about it!
P.S. That top right card is a 4x6 card from the "Love Him" set by Big City Quiet Designs. I just trimmed it down to fit the 4x4 pocket.
