Introducing 2018 Calendar Templates from Paislee Press | A DIY Calendar Project

Happy Thursday, friends!  Can you believe that it is now November?  You guys, we are so close to twenty-eighteen! It's hard to believe...  So while I'm over here all flabbergasted and wondering where the year went, my sweet friend Liz over at Paislee Press has been designing and releasing 2018 calendar templates!

I was excited to put together a digital calendar template to keep on my computer desktop and then I printed a copy to hang on the wall of my office. I used a clipboard as a simple base and set it on one of the shelves over my work desk.  Easy, peasy!

If you love the template I used below, then you'll really enjoy some of the projects from my fellow creative team members. Pop over to Liz's blog to finds all sorts of great ideas for using these templates and turning them into Christmas gifts, wall art and more!

More Easy, Digital Scrapbook Pages | Gallery of Recent Layouts featuring Paislee Press

Last week I shared a gallery of recent digital pages I created and I'm back with a few more today, this time using Paislee Press designs.  While working on these pages, I couldn't help but think how relaxing it is to sit down, design a digital page and piece it all together.  I'm able to slow down, breathe and listen to music.  I'm curious, what do you do when working on pages? Do you watch television or listen to music?  Are you someone who works on these pages during the day or in the quiet of an evening?  Share with me in the comments below!

Introducing Summer Vibes by Paislee Press | Traveler's Notebook Insert for a Mini Album - Hybrid Scrapbooking Style

I had this crazy need to feel some paper between my fingertips after all these digital layouts I've been working on lately.  The new Summer Vibes collection from Paislee Press provided the perfect opportunity for me to create this fun, traveler's notebook style insert for my mini album.  I simply created the page in Photoshop Elements, printed, it, folded it in half and embellished.  My next step is just to punch holes along the fold and I can snap it into my mini album. Easy peasy, right?!

DIY Baby Onesie Using a Cricut Explore Air 2, Stencil Vinyl, Fabric Paint and New Designs by Paislee Press

Hi friends, I'm so excited to be sharing this super fun, different sort of project... Many of you already know that my husband and I are adopting a child.  As a result, I've been in nesting mode lately, gathering and making things for a baby. Since we don't know yet whether we will be having a boy or a girl, I've been collecting gender neutral items.

When Liz over at Paislee Press released the Scenic Route collection, I was immediately enamored with it.  I'm so excited to use it in my pocket page scrapbook and digital scrapbook pages, but first, I just had to use it to make some baby onesies!

With a little text advice from my sweet friend Emily (Desk of Confetti), I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 machine to kiss cut Liz's designs out on stencil vinyl.  The vinyl is adhesive so after weeding the design on the cutting mat, I peeled the backing off the stencil, adhered it to a pre-washed onesie and slid a piece of chipboard between the layers of the onesie.  Next, I used a foam brush to apply black fabric paint.  I allowed the onesies to dry for 24 hours, then carefully peeled the stencil vinyl away.  Next, I used a pressing cloth and iron set the paint on the onesie.

I just love how cute these are and know I'll be making more soon!

Digital Scrapbook Pages | Gallery of Recent Layouts feat. Paislee Press and Kellie Stamps

When life gets busy, there's nothing more simple than creating a digital scrapbook page to document memories.  Since I've been focusing this year on other things, I've not had as much time to make paper pages, however, I have found time to create digitally.  This works so much better for me at this point in life because I can easily carve out 30 mins or so once a week to knock out a page or two.

I wanted to share some of my recent pages with you because several of them include new, fun designs from some of our favorite designers!

What's the craziest thing you've ever documented?  My mom encouraged me to save our first grocery receipt after my husband and I got married. I loved creating this digital scrapbook page with a scanned copy of the receipt - preserved forever! This fun page uses the Good Food digital stamp set from Kellie Stamps.

This set of digital pages was super fun to make! I love the pops of color that the circles create. I paired them with a more simple page on the left side to balance the spread.  In these pages, I used Paislee Press elements from Year One, Eternal Sunshine, High Five and Pictures and Words No. 19.

I love a digital 9x12 pocket page! The look is so clean and refreshing! In this layout, I'm using the Weekend Vibes collection from Paislee Press.

You guys.  Adoption is crazy, hard work!  While everyone is talking about Valentine's Day and discussing the latest political news, I'm over here up to my eyeballs in research, paperwork, discussions with the hubs, baby registries, and more.  Seriously, my brain feels like a bowl of melted ice cream some days. lol. But I know it will be so worth it in the end.

In the meantime, I have some REALLY BIG NEWS for you all (I mean, besides my baby news).

I'm going to be teaching with Big Picture Classes again! Yes! I'm so excited. My newest class will premier in April 2017 so right now, I'm working behind the scenes to create twelve(!) really awesome lessons for you.   Please stay tuned on that, I'll be sharing more about it at the end of the month in my newsletter.  If you're not already signed up to receive my newsletter, you can sign up here.

Lastly, I wanted to share three sneak peeks of some fun projects I've put together using the newest releases from One Little Bird and Paislee Press (links below).  P.S.  I'll be sharing the full pages in my BPC class and on Instagram in April.

Create a Digital Scrapbook Page in Under 30 Minutes! | Featuring the Oh Happy Day Collection from Paislee Press

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are enjoying the month of February!  I haven't had a whole lot of extra time lately to update here, but I promise, I have a good reason!

Digital Scrapbook Page by Mandy of Turquoise Avenue using the Oh Happy Day Collection from Paislee Press

Today, I wanted to share a page I made in under 30 minutes using the new Oh Happy Day collection from Paislee Press   and Photoshop Elements 15.  I simply opened my favorite template from this template set, dropped in my photos and elements, added some text and done! I printed this off on 8.5x11 paper and have slipped it into my 2016 9x12 album.

I love a quick page, don't you?!   (Plus, I'm giving myself credit for catching up even more of my 2016 album. lol)

What have you been working on lately?
